Good People Go To Hell.
I am not sure why can't shake this urge. Today while in the shower I came up with an alternative to writing such a stark post on Facebook...my blog.
So Blog...
Good People Go To Hell.
Good, sweet as a peach, generous, loving, smiling people go to Hell. Men that open doors, women that volunteer at clothing banks, teenagers who make good grades....Hell is open to them as well. Even church goers go to Hell.
The more I learn about the Bible the more I believe that if you are not completely 100% souled out for Christ on a DAILY basis, then you are not saved. If you are not truely saved, then you will go to Hell.
I am thinking I have not been able to get this off my brain because of this...
I am so so sad for these good people...in my eyes they deserve Heaven. However the Bible says they are missing the admission ticket...salvation. I know a bunch of people that seem like they are Heaven bound...but I know better. I know you can't argue with biblical truth.
I am not a spiritual giant. (I had to ask my husband where the verse below is located in the Bible.) I just can not stop thinking about people who think Heaven is a sure thing.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matthew 7:21-23
I have a lot more spiritual truths that bug me. Truths that people are not aware of or ignore, but I will start will that fairly popular phrase "Good People Go To Hell." and maybe I can ignore all other urges to comment on other truths that can be mean, offensive, or harsh to say. I feel better now that I have posted this on the world wide web:)Here is a "cute kids" picture to lighten things up...

That was abnormally harsh and I think it does a disservice. What I read is, even if you are a good person, believe in good, go to church, and do well on to others, if your are not prophesying or if you are excepting of sinners (for instants gay and lesbians), then you are going to hell. I don't think I like that message. Sidenote: very very cute kiddies.
Amen, KA! I think that is one of the hardest yet one of the most important truths for us to understand. No matter how "good" we are, all our "righteousness" is as filthy rags and because all of us are guilty (yep every single one of us) of sinning against a holy and righteous God who cannot tolerate sinfulness, we are justly deserving of his wrath (aka eternal separation from God in hell). The awesome news is that when we truly repent and put our trust in Jesus as our savior, God no longer sees us as the dirty, rotten sinners that we are, but instead he sees Christ's righteousness. Romans 3:21-26
Once saved always saved! I prayed a prayer once at church camp and now I can do whatever I want!
Just kidding. Good blog with a very hard to accept truth. Although, I don't think any of us are 100% "souled out" to God on a daily basis. I think his grace is sufficient for those times though.
I do agree that good works will not get you into heaven, though "holier than thou" stances will not really help witness to many. To me you misunderstood the story in Matthew. Granted it is a valid argument that good works will not get you in heaven it is an exceptional large subjective stretch to claim the lack of a "souled out" approach to be considered saved as a spiritual truth. I mean look at Thomas. He was not one to jump around proclaiming God's glory, yet he is enjoying heaven. Doubt creates a deeper understanding of purpose then blind acceptance. It's like knowing something as truth merely because someone told you. What you need to do is to step out of your comfort, and study to understand...nay allow yourself to be open to God showing you a more holistic and objective view rather than simply take mans explanation which is subjective in nature as truth. That is my frustration about the worldview of a vast majority of the Christians of my generation.
I am tired of typing, but will definitely have to call will on this topic.
Don't worry. Hell doesn't exist.
